What does the Bible say about helping one another?
Bible Topic · WEB
The Bible teaches that believers, freed by Christ’s grace, are called to love one another through humble, practical service and mutual care. Galatians 5:13 says freedom is not for self-indulgence but for serving one another in love, and Galatians 6:2 calls Christians to bear one another’s burdens, fulfilling Christ’s law. The early church shared generously so that needy members were supplied (Acts 2:44-45). Rather than seeking personal advantage, believers are to seek their neighbor’s good (1 Corinthians 10:24). In Christ, earthly distinctions do not determine a person’s worth, for Christ is all and in all (Colossians 3:11). God also comforts His people so they may comfort others in affliction (2 Corinthians 1:4).
