The Bible forbids proud, hypocritical, and rash judgment of others, while calling believers to exercise humble, truthful discernment under God’s Word. In Matthew 7:1-5, Jesus warns that those who judge must first examine and repent of their own sin. John 7:24 teaches that judgment should be righteous rather than based on outward appearance. James 4:11-12 reminds us that God alone is the final Lawgiver and Judge, and Romans 14:4 urges patience toward fellow servants of Christ in disputable matters. Yet Scripture also commands the church to recognize false teachers and harmful teaching, as Romans 16:17-18 shows. Christians should therefore correct gently, forgive readily, and leave final condemnation to the Lord.
