The Bible teaches that God created human beings in his image, granting every person unique dignity, moral responsibility, and a calling to represent him in the world. Genesis 1:26-27 declares that both male and female bear this image, while Genesis 9:6 grounds the sanctity of human life in it. Though sin has distorted our minds, desires, and conduct, it has not erased this God-given dignity.
