What does the Bible say about jesus being god?

The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is truly God the Son, eternally one with the Father, yet distinct in person, and worthy of the worship and trust given to God alone. John declares that the Word was God and became flesh in Jesus Christ (John 1:1, 14), through whom all things were made (John 1:3).
