What does the Bible say about lack?
Bible Topic · WEB
The Bible teaches that God faithfully cares for his people, supplying what they truly need and calling them to trust his wise provision in seasons of plenty and want. Psalm 34:9-10 and Proverbs 10:3 assure believers that those who fear and seek the Lord will not ultimately be abandoned. Christ became poor for our sake, that we might receive the riches of his grace (2 Corinthians 8:9). Therefore, Christians need not be ruled by anxiety, for God is able to make grace abound and will supply every need according to his riches in Christ (2 Corinthians 9:8; Philippians 4:19). Matthew 6:33 directs us to seek God's kingdom first, while Philippians 4:12 teaches contentment through Christ in every circumstance.
