What does the Bible say about new beginnings?

Bible Topic · WEB

The Bible teaches that true new beginnings are God’s gracious work, bringing sinners from death to life through faith in Jesus Christ and renewing them for holy living. In 2 Corinthians 5:17, those united to Christ are new creations, with the old life passing away. God calls His people not to cling to former things, for He is able to make a way in the wilderness and bring fresh mercy and hope, as Isaiah 43:18-19 declares. Though believers still battle sin, Ephesians 4:22-24 urges them to put off the old self and put on the new. Lamentations 3:22-24 grounds every fresh start in the Lord’s steadfast love and daily mercies.
