What does the Bible say about overcoming?

The Bible says that believers overcome sin, evil, fear, and the world not by their own strength, but through faith in Jesus Christ and the power of His saving grace. Jesus assures His people in John 16:33 that He has overcome the world, and 1 John 5:4-5 teaches that faith in Him shares in this victory.
