What does the Bible say about past experiences?

The Bible teaches that past experiences, whether marked by sin, sorrow, or success, are not beyond God's redeeming grace and need not define the believer's future. Through confession, God faithfully forgives and cleanses His people (1 John 1:9), while nothing in all creation can separate them from Christ's love (Romans 8:37-39). Isaiah 43:18-19 and Philippians 3:13 call believers not to live imprisoned by what lies behind, but to press on in faith toward God's promised work. Remembering God's past deeds can also renew humble faith and prayer (Habakkuk 3:2). In Christ, believers receive abundant life (John 10:10) and strength to move forward by grace.
