What does the Bible say about pets going to heaven?

The Bible does not plainly say whether individual pets go to heaven, so Christians should not claim certainty where God has not spoken. Yet Scripture shows that animals belong to God, are under his compassionate care, and share in the groaning of a fallen creation that awaits renewal. Psalms 36:5-6 and Job 12:10 affirm God's care and sovereignty over living creatures, while Proverbs 12:10 commends humane concern for them. Romans 8:18-23 teaches that creation itself will be liberated from corruption, and Isaiah 11:5-9 portrays the peace of God's restored world with animal life. We may therefore entrust beloved pets to the wise and good Creator, while fixing our hope on Christ and the promised new creation.
