The Bible does not forbid all secular music, but calls believers to exercise wise, holy, and loving discernment so that their listening honors God. Christians should ask whether music feeds what is true, honorable, pure, lovely, and commendable, as Philippians 4:8 teaches, or whether it celebrates sin and draws the heart toward friendship with the world (James 4:4).
