What does the Bible say about spiritual breakthrough?

The Bible teaches that true spiritual breakthrough comes by God’s grace and power, as believers trust Christ, resist sin, and walk obediently in the truth. God provides a way of endurance in temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13), equips His people for spiritual conflict (Ephesians 6:12), and promises that no weapon against them will ultimately prevail (Isaiah 54:17). His truth brings freedom (John 8:32), and His Spirit gives power for faithful witness (Acts 1:8). Isaiah 43:19 and Isaiah 60:1-22 point to God’s renewing work and coming glory, while Proverbs 4:25-27 calls for steadfast, purposeful obedience. Breakthrough is therefore not self-made success, but the Lord’s faithful work in and through His people.
