The Bible teaches that God is to be worshiped with reverence, joy, gratitude, and wholehearted devotion, through Christ and by the Holy Spirit. Jesus says in John 4:23-24 that true worshipers worship the Father in spirit and truth, not merely through outward forms or sacred places.
