What does the Bible say about brothers in christ?
Bible Topic · WEB
The Bible teaches that all who are united to Christ by faith are received as children of God and become brothers and sisters in one spiritual family. Jesus says that those who do God’s will belong to His family (Mark 3:35), and John explains that believers are born of God through receiving Christ (John 1:12-13). Christ is not ashamed to call His redeemed people brothers (Hebrews 2:11). Therefore Christians should love one another, encourage growth in holiness, teach God’s Word, and sharpen each other in faithful living (1 John 3:14; Proverbs 27:17; Colossians 3:16). In Christ, earthly distinctions do not determine our standing, for all believers are one in Him (Galatians 3:28).
