What does the Bible say about victory in christ?

The Bible teaches that believers have sure victory in Christ, not through their own strength, but through his saving death, resurrection, and reigning power. First Corinthians 15:57 gives thanks to God, who gives victory through Jesus Christ, while Romans 8:37 says Christians are more than conquerors through his love. This victory includes freedom from sin's dominion, no condemnation for those in Christ, and security from every power that would separate them from God's love. God fights for his people, as Deuteronomy 20:4 declares, and leads them in Christ's triumph. Yet believers still wage a real spiritual battle, standing in God's strength and wearing the armor described in Ephesians 6:10-18.
