What does the Bible say about helping each other?
Bible Topic · WEB
The Bible teaches that believers are called to love one another through humble, practical, and faithful care, bearing each other’s burdens as members of Christ’s body. Galatians 6:2 says that sharing burdens fulfills the law of Christ, while Ecclesiastes 4:9-11 commends the strength and comfort found in companionship. Christians are to respect and encourage faithful leaders, build up the discouraged, help the weak, and patiently pursue peace, as 1 Thessalonians 5:12-16 teaches. Such mutual service is not a means of earning salvation, but the fruit of God’s grace in those united to Christ. By this self-giving love, John 13:35 says, the world recognizes Jesus’ disciples.
