What does the Bible say about holy land?
Bible Topic · WEB
The Bible presents the land promised to Israel as a gracious gift of God, holy because of his covenant presence and purpose, yet never an end in itself. God called Moses on holy ground and promised to bring his people into a good and fruitful land (Exodus 3:8; Deuteronomy 8:7-9). Its abundance depended on the Lord's faithful care, and Israel's continued enjoyment of it called for covenant obedience (Deuteronomy 11:10-12; Leviticus 26:42). Because the land belonged ultimately to God, unbelief and idolatry brought exile, as Hosea warns (Hosea 9:3). In Christ, God fulfills his promises by gathering a people from every nation and directing their hope toward the lasting inheritance of his kingdom.
