What does the Bible say about spirit guides?

The Bible teaches that believers must not seek guidance from spirits, mediums, or the dead, but from God through his Word and Holy Spirit. Leviticus 19:31 and 20:27 plainly forbid consulting mediums and spiritists, treating such practices as rebellion against the Lord. Jesus promises that the Holy Spirit guides his people into truth (John 16:13) and teaches them Christ’s words (John 14:26).
