What does the Bible say about the mind?
Bible Topic · WEB
The Bible teaches that the mind is to be renewed by God’s grace, set on what is true and holy, and brought into loving submission to Christ. Romans 12:1-2 calls believers to offer their whole selves to God and be transformed through renewed thinking rather than conformed to the world. Because the fleshly mind is hostile to God and leads to death, the Spirit gives life and peace (Romans 8:6-7). Christians are to cultivate Christ’s humble mindset (Philippians 2:5), take every thought captive to obey him (2 Corinthians 10:5), and dwell on what is excellent and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8-9). This renewal flows from belonging wholly to God in body and soul.
