What does the Bible say about hatred to christ?

Bible Topic · WEB

The Bible teaches that hatred toward Christ is sinful rebellion against God, yet Christ reigns and will finally overcome every enemy. Jesus says the world hates Him because His light exposes its evil, and those who hate Him also hate the Father who sent Him (John 7:7; John 15:23-24). This hostility fulfills Scripture: “They hated me without a cause” (Psalms 69:4; John 15:25). Believers should not be surprised when the world opposes them, for it hated Christ first (John 15:18). Nevertheless, the nations’ rage is vain: God has established His King, who will rule over all opposition (Psalms 2:2, 9). Christ must reign until every enemy is subdued (1 Corinthians 15:25).
