What does the Bible say about peace of mind?

Bible Topic · WEB

The Bible teaches that true peace of mind is God’s gift, grounded not in favorable circumstances but in reconciliation with him through Jesus Christ and sustained by trusting prayer. Jesus gives his disciples a peace unlike the world’s peace in John 14:27, and promises courage amid trouble because he has overcome the world in John 16:33. Isaiah 26:3 links steadfast peace with a mind fixed on God. Philippians 4:6-7 calls believers to bring anxieties to God with thanksgiving, trusting that his peace will guard them. Through justification by faith, Romans 5:1 declares that we have peace with God, the deepest foundation for a settled heart.
