What does the Bible say about children?
Bible Topic · WEB
The Bible presents children as precious gifts from God, entrusted to families and included in the praise and purposes of his kingdom. Psalm 127:3 calls them a heritage from the Lord, while Genesis 33:5 reflects a father’s grateful recognition that God gives children. Jesus himself lived in humble obedience within his earthly family in Luke 2:51, and from the cross he lovingly provided for his mother through John in John 19:26-27. Children are not spiritually insignificant: Psalm 8:2 and Matthew 21:15-16 show that God receives praise from the young and uses it to display his strength. Therefore parents and the church should receive, nurture, teach, protect, and lead children to know and worship the Lord.
