What does the Bible say about the spirit of rejection?
Bible Topic · WEB
The Bible teaches that rejection is a painful reality in a fallen world, but it does not define the believer’s worth or separate God’s people from his faithful love in Christ. Jesus was despised and rejected, yet he became the chosen and precious cornerstone (Isaiah 53:3; 1 Peter 2:4). Though even parents may fail, the Lord receives and remembers his children (Psalms 27:10; Isaiah 49:15; Psalms 94:14). Those united to Christ are no longer condemned (Romans 8:1), and no human opposition can finally stand against the God who is for them (Romans 8:31). Believers should expect the world’s hostility toward Christ, while trusting his welcome and speaking his truth humbly (John 15:18; Luke 10:16).
