What does the Bible say about word of knowledge?

The Bible teaches that God may grant a word of knowledge as a Spirit-given gift for the church’s good, yet all claimed revelation must be tested and remains subject to God’s sufficient written Word. In 1 Corinthians 12:8, Paul names this gift among the Spirit’s diverse distributions, and 1 Corinthians 14 calls believers to pursue love, seek gifts that build up the church, and exercise them orderly. John 14:26 especially promises the Spirit’s teaching ministry to Christ’s apostles. Scripture warns against false prophets who speak visions from their own minds, as in Ezekiel 13, and declares that God’s Word equips believers for every good work in 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
